Foreign coach for Singapore Dragonboat Team?

The Asian Games just ended with Singapore celebrating a record haul of 8 golds.  Well, it looks like the Singapore Dragonboat Association (SDBA) is firing up its “engines” to go for GOLD as well!  To prepare for the year 2007 South East Asian Games in Bangkok, the SDBA is now looking to employ a foreign coach for the Singapore Dragonboat Team.  Here’s the excerpt from SDBA’s website:

The Singapore Dragon Boat Association are looking to appoint an experience overseas Dragon Boat Coach for their National Men’s and Women’s Squads to help them prepare for the South East Asian Games to be held in Bangkok in December 2007.

The Coach, ideally, should be prepared to be in Singapore for a short period of 3 to 6 months which can be extended, if mutually acceptable, for a year or more.

A coach, experienced at international level with elite paddlers, preferable from an English or Mandarin speaking country close to Singapore, for example, China, Hong Kong, Macau or even the Philippine, is preferred. Terms of employment will be discussed as part of the contract negotiations. Interested persons should contact Mr. Lim Wee Kok at SDBA – email:-

If you’re a reader from overseas and you know of a candidate who may fit the bill, do help to notify the person.   Tks!
