Ten-hundredth of a second…Tis the time separating the top two teams, NTU and NUS, in this year’s Prime Minister Challenge Trophy race held at Bedok Reservoir.
Watch a 30-second clip – below – of the final burst by NTU (far bank) and NUS (near bank) as they race to the finish line of the annual 1km-long race.
The jury is still out (and I suspect it will always be) on what’s the best racing technique in dragonboating…well, I would say here that the best technique is the winning one (lol)…but I digress.
Btw, I reckon the quality of the embedded video leaves much to be desired (sorry for the jerky Blair-Witch-Project-like clip). If you like to get a copy of the source video file (Size: ~ 4MB), just leave a comment here and I will try my best to send a copy to you.

Thanks for the video! Are you uploading it via sendspace or rapidshare here or are you posting via email?
Hey PC, I was thinking of sending the video file by yousendit :) Have not used sendspace or rapidshare before. Are they better than yousendit?
yousendit is ok for me…:)
oh yah and…
“The Singapore Dragon Boat Association in partnership with the People’s Association Water-Venture will be organizing the 5-Crew Dragon Boat Challenge 2007 at the Jurong Lake on 22nd September 2007, Saturday and 23rd September 2007, Sunday.
The distance of the race is 250 meters.”
Can we gather and send our silver medal-winning team for this again?
That would mean Ngee Boon, Jereme, Haoyuan, Kah San and Raymond…hehehe ;p
PC, my sentiments exactly! Hehe :)
